Meet the Team
The most vital component of our business is our team of lighting professionals.
Here's a little bit about each of them.
Michele
Michele purchased LU in 2015. She has a deep passion for the community and loves giving back, being involved in many civic groups and local charities. She is a great team leader whose vibrant energy nurtures LU's future growth and expansion.
Brian
Our General Manager and a lighting Professional since the age of 16, Brian is a wealth of product knowledge. His commitment to service and follow up make him a valuable LU Team Member. Brian is a NC native, currently living in Fuquay-Varina.
Tara
Tara has been in the lighting business for 17 years. She was the previous owner of Wakefield Lighting which was purchased by LU in 2018. Tara is truly an asset to the team being familiar with everything necessary for the smooth operation of our showroom.
Carla
Carla's lighting career began in 1988 in Wilkes-Barre, PA. She has been with LU Garner since moving to Raleigh in 2015. Her love of art and design makes this job exciting every day, even after 34 years in the business.
Matt
Hailing from Milwaukee, WI, Matt has been in lighting for 22 years. He started at our Apex location before moving to Garner for a toal of 10 years.
"LU has a fantastic team spirit! The owners really take care of their team members." Matt currently lives in Cary.
Amanda
Amanda started at our Wake Forest location in 2019 before moving to Garner showroom. She's a friendly person and a team player. She resides in Four Oaks.
Taylor
Taylor is a new face at LU. With a degree in Interior Design, her style knowledge, and great communication skills, Taylor can meet the needs and expectations of clients. We are excited to see what the future holds for her at Lights Unlimited.
Rose
An NC native, Rose has been with LU since 1988. She's truly a team player who tirelessly performs many tasks for all of our showrooms. Friendly and funny are two words used to describe Rose. She currently resides in Garner.
Louise
Louise joined our team in 2016. Our Wake Forest location Manager, Louise comes from an extensive design background, including appearances on HGTV, her skills and customer service are definitely appreciated with our builders.
Dulce
Dulce just started with LU this year but has already shown a lot of team spirit, willingness to learn, and a great attitude. We can't wait to see how far she goes with our company.
Lisa
Lisa joined the team in 2022. She came from the corporate world with over 20 years experience in customer service. In her free time she enjoys the outdoors, spending time with her family and her fur babies.
Elizabeth
Elizabeth is our Fuquay Varina location Manager. She joined the LU team in 2016 with a strong background in sales and customer service. Her attention to detail makes her a great asset to the company.
John
John is a seasoned lighting professional with over 36 years in the business. His years of experience make him a valued team member. He is an avid golfer and die hard Duke basketball fan.
Kim
Kim started with LU in 2019, coming from a customer service background. She's lived in a number of places before settling in NC for the last 15 years, currently living in Fuquay Varina.
Gary
Gary has lighting experience that started in 1983. Born and raised in NC and loves to help his customers find the right fit for any lighting project.
Nelly
One of LU's new faces, Nelly joined the team in 2021. She's an NC native who always shows up to work with a smile. She excels with customer service and enjoys making people happy. She currently lives in Youngsville.
Andrew
Andrew, an NC native, is another new face with LU but his enthusiasm and great customer service are true assets to our team.
Jeannette
Jeanette is a NY transplant who has embraced our NC culture. She has worked in many areas of the lighting industry and her knowledge and experience is an asset to LU and our customers.
